Superchip Programmer

Has anyone used the SuperChip programmer? I saw one today at Gravelrama (Cleves, OH) for the O3 Cummins. It was rated at 100 hp to the rear and was on sale for $375. Also, you just plug it in, save your stock program, dump in a new program and unplug it. You can change some values with it (I think), and also, it's close to a DRB. Meaning you can check and clear your own codes. Seems like the setup to me... . but I'm pretty new to this bombing stuff. This is my first diesel. What do you guys think?

I've got the guys name and address... he told me to bring my truck by and he'd hook it up and we could take a spin.....

I've been anxiously awaiting the new edge... but hey... this sounds very cool and at a very good price!

I could be mistaken but the SC is only for the 24 valve trucks to date and the max HP is 70. We sell tons of them and have never gotten any word from SC that a 2003 model is available to date! But then again sometimes the distributors are the last to know too!

I think the confusion is centered around that it will work for 3rd gens with the 5. 9 gasser or V-10, but not the new cummins or Hemi. There was a long thread over in the Products/Accessories forum on it, and results seemed mixed (not a ton of HP, questionable EGT's). .



Too bad, I wanted it for the speedometer recalibration myself.

I just picked one up for my bosses 02 Duramax last weekend at Schied's. $325 out the door on show special. We'll see how well it does, I've never messed with any computer/ECM's as I am properly valved Looks simple enough, but will it walk the walk?

I saw it myself in the box! Had a picture of an 03 dually on it. Sticker on top said 03 Cummins! It's brand is Superchips (I said superchip before). The brochure I picked up only has it for the gassers though... Hmm. . I will call them tomorrow.

You are right DIESELMAN.

I called the company that I saw the box from. Their tech wrote that on the box... . it was actually for a 03 gasser... not a cummins. What a numb-nut!

Guys, dont know about you, but if that thing will ADD 100hp to a

Gasser for under $350. That would be unreal.

Just my 2cents.

If they don't know a Cummins from a gasser then I'm thinking they might not understand HP either.

You're right... The superchip brochure says it adds only like 20 hp to the gassers... .
