Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Bought a Superchips tuner 3705 for my 99 when they first came out. I have not needed to do much with it, really wanted it to correct my speedometer for larger tires. Tried to check power level on truck while reading a trouble code and tuner says its VIN locked, which it should, but then comes up with message 'Not Original Program'.
Now the problem, Superchips does not support this tuner anymore and will not do anything to help. Well that's a lie, they will sell me the last versions which they may be able to install original program for truck to down load, wonder how long they'll support that one.
Before taking the truck back to the dealer to be re-flashed, has anybody had any luck forcing one of these tuners to return to stock programing by unlocking it or tricking it somehow?
