A family member, but not a member of TDR :-(, is considering the Superchips' D-box (near bottom of page). That fueling box's performance specs, installation method, etc. appear identical to the Edge EZ. Looks like a rebranded (OEM'ed) EZ to me. Can anyone confirm this?

I did a Forum search and turned up absolutely nothing on the D-box. Is anybody using this product and willing to share opinions?

The family member's interpretation of Superchips' statement "Has low EGTs (Exhaust Gas Temps) without exhaust upgrades" to mean "no pyrometer required". I read the constant advice here to get your gauges before/while you BOMB, but with boxes as tame as the D-box/EZ, do you still need to watch EGT's?

Your thoughts and experiences are appreciated.

No gauges?

If he thinks he doesn't need to know what's going on with his powertrain, tell him to drive around town for a week with a piece of cardbord over his dash. If he feels comfortable with that, he doesn't need gauges.

Dan...

Yeah, it looks like an Edge copy, but I wouldn't personally be interested. I've read literally hundreds of "box" posts on the TDR over the last year and cannot recall even one post on problems with any Edge product. They offer a 60 day money back and 2 yr. warranty. Their reputation on the TDR is impeccable. Why take a chance?

I interpret the comment about "without exhaust upgrades" to mean no need for a 4" exhaust system, not that no pyro is needed. Ditto to RKohn's comment on that.

That was my initial interpretation too, but I wanted to hear it from guys "in the know".
