I was wondering first if anyone knows what the flashpaq does, is it just pressure, or fuel and timing, also does anyone have pyro on a truck with the flashpaq I am interested in the egt since i have no pyro yet...

Also this is my first post, great site :-laf

I believe the FlashPaq is currently only doing duration/timing based on how it compares to my Triple Dog w/Crazy Larry and how poorly it stacks with a TST PowerMax. This may change though when and if they ever release their Extreme tune.

EGT's where on the high end on my recently traded in '05. I had an SPS62/5" Exhaust/Arc Flow/ATS manifold/Volant Intake on the '05 and WOT runs quickly got up to 1400+. On the other hand the Triple Dog w/Crazy Larry ran 200 degrees cooler on the same runs. So be careful if you plan on running it without a pyro.

I believe it does add some fuel on all settings, but mostly does timing and duration. My 06 blows more black smoke when the flashpaq is downloaded. The downloader puts good power into the truck. The EGTs do get up high fairly quick. My truck will hit 1400* when passing on the highway not towing.

I don't know if this is cause I have 90hp injectors as well.

I have the Superchips FlashPaq. My purpose in buying the "box" (ECM programer) was to add just enough horsepower to improve the throttle repsonse and make the truck fun to drive. The SuperChips Flashpaq did just that, without any noticeable side effects. I just traded my 1998 12 valve (250,000+ miles) for my 2006 Mega Cab and I am quite happy with how easy (and cheap) the SuperChips product improved my truck.

The box is set on tow, the lowest of the 2 settings (advertised 65 HP); installation was simple and quick. The shift points (auto) are firmer with a definite "seat of the pants" HP gain. My MPG's have improved but I haven't bothered to run the numbers; I am in the oil business and ya'll are paying for my fuel, so who cares? (just kidding).

My truck is stock with the exception of the SuperChips and the EGT gauge. I do not tow anything with significant weight; pontoon boat, jet ski, motorcycle, utility trailer, etc. , so my experience has been slightly elevated (WOT) but in real life terms, normal EGT's.
