Superchips micro tuner??

I have been looking into one of these and I like the feature of recalibrating my speedometer due to the 35'' tires and the three different settings. Also can use it to read codes. All for under 300. That is 175 less then the edge ez. If anyone has anything bad or good to say about either, let it fly. I want to do something soon.

I installed the "HI-PERF" program, reset the tire size and checked for codes.



The truck gets up and moves considerably quicker.

Boost hits 27. 5# quick.

EGT's will hit 1250* on WOT runs in 6th gear. May climb a little higher if held

Speedo correction worked great! (used GPS to verify)



I feel like the power is a little slower coming on than with the EZ that I tried at one time. But ends strong.

as for the superchips tuner. it did not work on my 98. 5 it did not change the power or the boost on any of the three levels and then i read that they do not work on the early model of the 24 valve c. t. d. then i got my monety back and bought an edge ez and the power went up and the boost jumped up to and the egt went up a little too. the super vtuner cost 350. 00 and the edge was 400. 00 from daves diesel its ih your t. d. r. book just thought i would let you know the superchips might not work on your early model thanks

I'm happy with mine

I have it programmed at the highest performance setting and have the odo/speedo recalibrated for the 315s. The tires are much less sticky than before.



From the comments on the other treads, it seems to work much better with the HOs.
