Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Superchips vs Hypertech

I am going to buy one of these, but which one ?



second, i have a VanAaken box on the 98. 5 and going to put a Banks Big Hoss on the 99, are one of the above programmers stackable with the VanAaken of Banks ?

Not sure about stacking but I have had very good luck with Superchips and good service from them.

I have one of each and the Hypertech works best. Installed Superchip program in wife's 98. 5 2500 and it had a knock at idle. Fuel mileage went from 20 to 12 mpg. Truck ran ok but I didn't like the sound of the engine. Bought a used Hypertech and installed the hottest program. It runs and sounds great. Also calibrated speedometer for the oversize tires. Going to sell the Superchip. Don't know anything about stacking them. Waiting to fuel to check mileage.

Superchips has not changed my mixed mileage of 17-17. 5. I only use the tow mode and it will still slip the stock clutch. You would think the stock clutch would be good for at least 25% over stock?
