SuperF350's dyno on TDS

For those of you who wanted to know Super350s numbers. Well here are his results!



From The Diesel Stop:



"A big congrats to dieselchic who took top honors at the dyno today. She dyno'd at 383HP and 711ftlbs of torque. My truck let me down and only got 353HP and 696ftlbs of torque. I'll try and get the sheet up shortly. 15 or so trucks were at the dyno, I'd say most were 6. 0's. "

s/m is wrong with his truck i saw an old man pull up at our last dyno day with his 7. 3 p/s and put down 360 and he did not have all of that stuff that NP has on his truck. NP s/m aint right with your truck.

Its not my truck!!!!!! The owner is a guy by the nickname of SuperF350 on the Ford site. I just copied his post to the TDR in my thread.

And yes I may be a PITA a lot of the time, but I also will say a lot of things other members are only thinking.



And its not the Fords that bother me, its the 6. 0s and a select few of the Ford owners and attitudes.



Maybe they should fix those POS 6. 0s so I won't have as much to talk about

I've never really had a problem with Fords, it's the V8s they shoe horn into them. The 7. 3 is ok, the 6. 0 is... You all know where I stand on that one!

7. 3 is a good engine for about 250K without bombs. the 6. 0 when they get the bugs out will be fast. right now i laugh when i see those little leds (cool) hanging of the end of the mirrors b/c i think now there is a guy who is in for some trials and tibulations. navistar has promised ford a bullet proof engine after all of the problems it has had. from what i understand they are going to common rail injection. the 6. 0 will be a very fast truck. i dont like them but that is the truth. with that being said if there was no such thing as dodge cummins i would buy a duramax. once they get the bugs out of that one it will be a killer with longevity. they have not reached that point yet. cummins all of the way but the new 600 has let me down with several problems and low mileage. i am glad i got my undervalved truck. a true classic.

I'm not so sure the 7. 3 deserves any particular praise. Sure they were more reliable than the 6. 0 PSD, but that's not really saying very much, is it! I spent almost $10,000. 00 in 30 months of ownership with my '96 7. 3 PSD, most of which was engine related. Glow plug relays, computer modules, glow plugs and injectors for the most part. Any brand has its lemons, but the issues that they have (cavity corrosion, cackling, HEUI injectors) convinced me early on that I don't want another one. Switching to common rail will be a step up for the 6. 0l, but right now if I were going to buy another truck and couldn't get another Dodge, I'd buy a 2004. 5 DM LLY/Allison. I think the Ford truck is better than the GM (for me), but they really dropped the ball motor-wise IMO. I still have three Ford pickups right now, just no diesels.



Oh yeah, and no matter who is the current leader in the stock hp wars, the Cummins is in a class by itself. Just because some manufacturer decides to trump the competition by having 5 hp more, doesn't make it a better engine as far as I'm concerned. Neither the 6. 0PSD or the DM have the potential for reliability and longevity that the 5. 9 Cummins has and for me, that's what's really important.
