I recently installed the dual steering stabilizer on my truck and WOW. The truck steers and rides much smoother... I highly recommend it for those with larger than stock tires.
I've been contemplating that move. I had death wobble a while back and I've been wanting to get some "insurance" to make sure it doesn't rear it's ugly head again.
What made you go down that road? Where did you buy it and how much?
I bought it from www.summitracing.com. I too was wanting the extra insurance from the death wobble issues others have written about. It cost $165, summit part number was slf-92670. The install was very easy once I go the factory stabilizer off. I tried prying and pulling once it was unbolted wihtout any progress. I ended up using a pitman arm puller and it popped it off in about 20 seconds. After that 45 minutes later, the truck was on her test run with the new stablizers.
SHyans,
What was the cause of your death wobble or what did you do to fix it?
DW came on with 800 miles on the truck. Scared the living crap out of me. Dealer said cause was "315's and 2" leveling kit". After two visits to cure, they replaced both ball joints, tie rods, track bar, steering stabilzer, etc under warranty. One side one visit, the other side the next because DW wasn't gone.
I had this setup put on my truck when I installed my 4" Superlift. I've also got the triple shock set up on my front end. Which makes for a nice setup. I've put 20k miles on this set up so far. With no problems.
