Supplemental Side Air Bags

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on ordering a new truck. Does anyone know where the Supplemental Side Air Bags are mounted? I am thinking of getting aftermarket leather seats and I want to make sure I won't be causing an issue.

I special ordered my '06 as well, and added the Supplemental Side Airbag option. From what I understand, this is kindof a rare option for these trucks. I recently had the entire interior of my truck gutted, and had the headliner pulled down as well.



From my best remembrance (which is questionable at times ), the SSA's are located underneath the headliner on each side, near the curved portion where it begins to roll down. I don't foresee you having any problems.



As far as I know, the only thing that aftermarket seats may interfere with is the little module located underneath the front center seat on the transmission hump. It sticks up maybe 1 1/4" and is roughly 4" x 4" in size. This has something to do with seat belt lockup and/or airbag deployment.

They are the side curtain type,mounted on the roof. That is what is complicating my plan to cage the truck.

i got'em on my '07... (wasnt what i wanted so it wasnt included in the price, along w/the nav haha) they cover the front and "rear" along the top of windows right?
