I have had a minor surging/hesitation problem with my truck for little over a year now and finally had a CEL. The code was p0237 Map Sensor Voltage Too Low MAP sensor voltage input below the minimum acceptable voltage. I have unhooked the Comp several months before the CEL and the surging was still there so I have figured out the Comp is not the reason for the surge. The surging is a little worse when the truck is cold but does it even when its at 180*. The surging is worst right when the truck is starting to make boost and there until the boost is greater than 5psi. I did have a HR-VP44 installed less than a year ago and did have the surge before the HR-VP44 was installed although it is easier to get it to surge with the new VP-44. Other than that the truck still runs great! I did have the Comp hooked up at the time of the CEL. Can a boost sensor that is going bad cause this or maybe a bad injector?
