This truck has always surged slightly, but now it's getting much worse. When lightly accelerating or when climbing slightly the truck surges. Actually it shakes, feels like you are going over a washboard road, until you let off the throttle or really step on it. The problem is there only under light to moderate throttle. At WOT it runs great. I also don't feel it when cruising on flat land.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

PE problem?

I haven't yet "bombed" my truck. But I was all set to buy a PE Comp, when someone said that it may flatten out at about 1800rpm when towing. Is this a common problem with the EZ and Comp? What's a good set-up that has all the bugs worked out?

I noticed that you have a PE-Comp... . Have you tried different levels and sublevels to see if the condition still persists? I have DD's UFM (basically their version of the Comp box) and mine has the same problem but only on level 5 and then only on sublevel 3-5. Might give it a try, I would be curious to see what your results are. Currently I am trying to decide whether to send mine back or just live with it.....

The truck has always done it, and the Comp has been on for the summer. The surging is worse when I have the box turned up. I usually leave it on 1,1 even at that I still have EGT problems. The surging seems to have gotten much worse on my last trip though.

TNT I haven't noticed the power flattening out at all. I never did, and I've had quite a few different variations. I used the EZ for a very short time before going to the Comp. I really liked the EZ, good mileage and no EGT problems. I've still got my EZ if you'd be interested in it.
