I just purchased a Buckstop Bumper thanks to the information I found on this website. Now two questions. First, I am thinking of purchasing the M1200 Warn winch. Is it a good choice? Second, what modifications should I make to the front suspension to support the added weight. This website is fantastic. A wealth of information. I spent the last three hours checking out sites. I could not find much in search. Just suggestions about 2 1/2" lift springs.

Some people change the stock front springs with heavier stock springs from the snow plow prep group. I think they are the 47/48 weight combo. I don't believe these raise the front end.

Skyjacker D25 coils do the trick. 2. 5" of lift but more like 2" with the bumper. Ussually makes the truck sit level since the rear ends are higher than a kite of most stock rigs. I only lost about 3/8" when I put my Buckstop on.

When I get a second winch I'm going to get the Warn 16. 5. But the M12000 is a good one. Any Warn winch is a quality product. But I'd go bigger if you have the chance.
