Input on truck purchase decision

Question about hot-shots...

I have a 99 5th Wheel with Dexter axles. There is no grease zerks on the spring shakels and attachment parts. I am new on trailer service,as always had MH. What do you do about lubricating the suspension. I think I have seen some trailers that have zerks. Can I modify mine with zerks? If so,what is approx. cost?Sure would appreciate some info from some of you old trailer specialists. Thank

you and Happy Thanksgiving.

Royal,

If you have a Camping World near you, check with them. They sell the upgrade kit and will install them. Also check with your 5th wheel trailer dealer on the possibility of them installing the kit.

I installed the kit on my 5th wheel, but without the proper tools, jacks and heavy duty jack stands, you are better off hiring the job done. The trailer must be supported by the frame while you remove the wheels and unbolt the suspension.

Thanks to Paul & Bill for your help. Paul, I found a place here in town that has the Dexter kits. Bill, for your info Camping world said they now longer have the kits. However I will take your advice on trying to find a shop with the proper lifting equipment to do the job. Many thanks to both of you andHappyThanksgiving .
