I have encountered the Dreaded Death wobble about 5 times in the last week. I've already rebalanced and rotated the tires . It hasn't come back yet. I'm going to replace the Track bar but I'm not sure witch one to get . I Have a 94 2500 4x4 With the Skyjacker 2. 5 lift kit and run 315 75 16 Dunlop Radial RV's on 16x8 wheels . My question is do I need and adjustable Track bar to compensate for the lift or will a stock length one work? I'm going to get and Alignment after I get the New track Bar on.

To all who described the DW you couldn't be more right. We are all lucky to be Alive.

Also will replacing the Track bar help straighten my front axle it's about 3/4 on an inch of from the left to right side wheel wells?

I have a ProComp Dual stabilizer setup That is less than 2 months old. Thanks for the info about the Track bar.

MAN OHH MAN!!!

I'm really starting to have some major steering problems holding it on the road. This truck is getting worse and worse everyday I drive it . I get so damn mad at it I want to wreck it. :--) :--) Ive adjusted the lukes link a few times in the last 10,000 miles, had the front end aligned and I don,t know whats going on. Either the ball stud is wearing fast or somthing else. Im going to molterie,GA next month and I don't know what to do. I've got to constantly keep after it weaving the steering wheel back and forth all the time to keep it in a straight line, especially hitting pot holes and uneven surfaces, if you don,t youll end up in the ditch   . The only step I know to correcting all this is to try a DT track bar system.

Is this the way to go GUYS:confused:

Not sure yet that the DT is the answer. But I might try it. I read Some other threads on the DW and there where a couple of members that said the people at DT were hard to get ahold of and another that said that it didn't solve their problem I was looking at national tire and wheels website and it looks like Skyjacker makes an adjustable Track Bar for our trucks, My personal dealing with them has always been positive plus the track bar is about a hundred bucks cheaper than the DT. I going to call them in the morning and get there opinion.

Could you have a bad tire - shifted belts?

The other thing is you said you had it aligned but what is the caster set at? There are the "Brett Specs" that seems to work for most people. I've got 315/75s on my truck and I haven't had any DW problems in 63K miles. I had a DW problem on a 3/4 ton gasser that was solved by increasing the caster AFTER DC replaced the ball joints, control arms, track bar, added the second stabilizer, hubs & rotors and I replaced the tires (it needed new tires). They never checked/reset the caster - I did it in my driveway and it solved the problem.

IMO a dual stabilizer is only a band-aid.

Who has a good price on the skyjacker track bar? Actually, who sells it at all? I will be going with the D25 coils and 315/75's pretty soon, and I will replace the track bar at the time...

I got the Skyjacker Track bar from National tire and wheel The price was 202. 00 If you go to Skyjackers web site www.skyjacker.com they have a Dealer locator. Ntw was who I went with just because I 've always had good luck with them . I order the part Monday and Had it on Tuesday and that was with regular shipping. As for the caster i got a copy of the specs on here and the alignment guy set them to that. It rides Great.
