Anything planned for October in Utah?

Sac Dyno Day Dates ?

we took the win at clements pull in ca. With the help of some top secret front suspension work, we were right on... ... ... ...

we beat a ford and a dodge tonight, all similarly equiped, plus we had a 3000 pound weight disadvantage

we were 7800

the others were 9400 - confirmed weight, and 10000 respectively

good job sutt

hughson next on the 6th of october

Brandon--thanks to you and Brandon for lending a hand in keepin ol' Big Red on the track--I can't believe I won after the afternoon showing--I just made it into the finals by 3"--had to shut down again due to shaking & wobbling--anyway got outpulled by 25' by another Dodge, in the prelims, that weighed 10,000(Banks, DDIII's and 3500 lbs of weight in his tool box) and by 9' by Psychostroker in his F**D(he weighed 9400 lbs)---me I weighed somewhere around 8000 lbs-(missed the weigh in)--but after some high tech manuevering by my top notch PIT crew--we stayed connected in the finals---funny thing was I pulled 3" less in the finals than the prelims, but managed to win by 5' over Psychostroker and by 15' over the other Dodge--the other Dodge guy(James) said his pump wire on his Banks acted up and for Psychostroker I'm not sure, but he did manage to put out a bunch of clutch smoke on his first hook in the finals before starting over, so I'm not sure if this hindered him or not on the 2nd attack---anyway thanks a bunch guys for helping and thanks to the many who came out--bpine, drivesmopars, Tom Golden, cummnzpwr, Ethan, rubberneck, HVAC, BigBad Dodge(who pulled also), Dennis and the others---thanks for your support------chris

I got to the pulls right at 7pm with my son and another Dodge guy (non diesel for now!). From the stands, it was pretty ho-hum while the street legal trucks were running. Once the diesels came out, the coments started flying: "Put it back on the farm", "Does your Dad know what you're doing with his truck?". Once the smoke started rolling, everything changed! A group of young men behind us started quoting "facts" about the Cummins, I let them know how little actually needed to be done to make that kind of power...

Way to go Chris, great show!:D

spectators claiming cummins facts... ..... "you know ford owns cummins" he he he he

october 6th sutton is apparently show in hughson

oh ya

I'm hooked (AGAIN!)

15 years ago I used to go to pulls with my Dad. I am a horsepressure JUNKIE! Family, work, home all pushed the hobbies to the back burner. Watching the pulls (especially the diesels) last night gave me goosebumps... I think everyone sitting around me last night knows what I drive!

Unless other things come up, I'll be at Hughson. Times, directions, and how I can meet up with any TDR members throughout the day would be helpful as the event approaches.

Way to go fellas!

Someday, we have got to do an East meets West truck pull deal.

I don't seem to have any suspension problems, does that come with more power?

Gene. . Chris has about 19" o lift. . and that gives a little slop room LOL, hit pea gravel and the death wobble starts [just kiding Chris as I sit on the sidelines. . ]

MGM--willyslover is right(or at least close)--5" lift at 4 corners or 5" x 4=20" of lift :D--really though it's the springs from the lift kit(Skyjacker soft ride w/ single shock)--salesman talked me out of the dual shock--of course this was before I started the sled pulling so I really can't blame him--it looks like if you have the dual shock set-up this will keep the front springs under control--I've got 4 Bilsteins ready to go on if I can ever get a set-up built(was supposed to be done about a month ago, but I think it's been shelved by the guy who was going to build it for me) anyway the straps we used yesterday sure helped in the finals----chris

yep that was fun, I couldn't believe that anouncer asked why I was out there with my diesel, I told him to just wait till I got done:) He had the stands give me a standing ovation, I've never had one of those. lol

I beet the other two gassers by 32 and 33 feet LOL

hey chris that was some great advice from Arnold about lowering the tire pressure in the front. He explained that bounce a basketball with alot of air pressure, then bounce one with little. It doesn't bouce as much. I'll be running 15psi in my fronts now.

Later

first off--WAY TO GO--congrats and a big 10-4 on that Adam---sure makes way too much sense--why didn't we think of it!!--I had heard that if you lowered down to 18 psi you'd twist the tires off the rims---guess not--- a big thanks for talking to him--

hey guys My6EatsV8's literally smoked the competition--it was flat out awesome--your truck still smokes way more than mine :D--congrats on winning again---the 12v & 24v Cummins ruled the day again---chris

Thanks for the entertainment and congrats on the results Chris and Adam the family and I had a great time but it was a long day.

My congrats also to Chris and Adam, each took the First Place trophies in their respective classes. Greg (Cummnzpowr) also did an admirable job on his first pull with Stack-o-saurus, and Scott (BigBadDodge) also hit the track pulling.

Chris, I don't know if Adam's truck smokes that much more than yours does..... They are pretty evenly matched!!

Here are my pictures of the event: www.geocities.com/tom_95619/clements_092201.html

Enjoy them!!

Tom
