Is anyone using veggie oil in their 24 valve?

Before I dump that first gallon of "super clean" WVO in my tank, do any members here have horror stories of WVO experiences, like piston ring and valve coking?

Yes, I am skeered.

With worries like these why would you even use it:rolleyes:

I've always said helping the environment was one of personal virtue:-laf

WVO/SVO IMO the temp of the fuel (wvo/svo) is the key.

I've ran wvo in my truck exclusively one summer about 2 years back.

It ran fine as long as the fuel was over 140 deg.

The next morning it didnt want to start. It was only about 65 deg out.

If I was going on a long trip I'd heat the oil in my 55 gal drum converted heater to about 170 then pump it to my 60 gal in bed tank.

If I knew I'd be shutting it down for the night I'd switch over to the factory tank with regular diesel in it for 10-15 mins to purge the system.

I had a heating coil in the 60 gal bed tank but it wasnt big enough to heat the entire tank full of wvo.

I did notice a slight decrease in HP and MPG's. I did use thei mostly for towing my TT so that may have something to do with it.
