I have just sent the members email list to everyone that signed the book at the last meeting. Please forgive me if it is not too good. I never sent a mass mailing before.

You done real good. :-laf

Do yall have anything coming up in the future? The military has me down in SC right now. I am from the roanoke area and go back every couple weeks. It would be fun to get together with a few of ya. Sure do miss the blue ridge.

Tugboatphil has some plans coming up a little later. He and Norm stopped by my work the other day, and we briefly mentioned something about a get together. How 'bout it Phil? Any firm news for 'burnin oil"?

Be careful down there in the flatlands, and thanks for your service to our country!

Put me on the email list. I need some help getting more power out of my 95, if anyone is willing to help.

Thanks

Jon

burnin oil! Welcome aboard I think we will have a good ole time

once we get the ball rolling. :D

I don't have any plans in the making, but the way the weather is going we could probably try something for late April. I had planned to have a cookout at my house, as I have lots of room for parking. I was wanting to wait until the ground dried up, as I have ruined the wife's (it's her riding mower) lawn with the tractor this winter.

Any suggestions are welcome. Norm, Gerald and I met last week and were talking about the points that Neal brought up regarding the direction we want this club to go. I think the next time we meet, everyone that shows up should have an idea as to what they would like to get out of this.

I'm not a full fledged old f*rt, but am well on my way. I got most of my hot rodding out of my system 20 years ago. My truck is my work truck, so I don't dog it out like I did other vehicles. So planning race/pull events is not really something that I have an interest in. However, I do know that there are probably more of you that do. So if you want to do some leg work and make the arrangements, I will do my best to get the word out.

Along that line, Gerald has some info on a charity pull event that's going to be in east-central Ohio this October. Perhaps it could be a convoy event up to watch or participate. It's at http://enterpriseengine.com/ Look on the left and click on Truck Pulls.

So whatever this club will become is dependent upon you all. I am content to meet, eat & talk with an occasional wrench party. Talk amongst yourselves.

Dave and Loretta have been putting this pull on for a couple years. It's a good event worth going to.

I Came Across A Smaller But Interesting Event @ Rural Retreat, Va In A Couple Of Weeks To Participate In A Tractor/truck Pull(possibly 3/25/06). I Do Not Know The Exact Date Yet But I Will Keep You Guys Posted.

It Seems Like That The Local Antique Tractor Pulling Series Is Looking To Possibly Have The Diesel Trucks Have A Whack At Thier Sled. This Will Be An Experimental Event To See If The Crowd Likes It. I Know Of Three Definates, Including Me, That Are Going To Hook, So Maybe Everyone Could Come Out And We Could Let The Tractor Pullers Know That We Are(or Not) A Bunch Of Hillbillies ;)

For sure if im not working or am otherwise occupied i would love to see that...

Rural Retreat isn't that far for me, and i guarantee the crowd around this area will love it, wonder if thats a hit then they might have it with the tractor pulls at felts park in Galax. . Are they still having those down there MRector?

Updated Roster

I have added the newest emails and sent out an updated roster. Please read it through and submit any additions you would like for your entry.

As for the Rural Retreat tractor pull, I should be free that Saturday. Is it a convoy? How would you all go? Up 21 out of Independence?

MR - Get me some contact info. If they're serious about sled pulls, I'll send 'em rule books and DHRA contacts. A south-east pulling series next year would be way cool
