Hey there are a few guys from here in Bristol and surrounding area going this weekend. If you don't mind we would like to tag along. Can meet you at O'Reilly if that's still the place.

Sure, I'm going down this Saturday, and we can meet @ O'Reilly Auto Parts on the Volunteer Parkway. My better half wants to go to be with my daughter-in-law and my daughter and grandkids, so I'll drop her off at their house then get to O'Reilly's as soon as possible. Here is the address:

Hello, there! Hope you have a safe trip down, and sorry we'll be later than you. I'm already hearing some complaints from my better half about how early we have to leave from Troutville, especially on a SATURDAY morning! Oh well!



I just got my truck back from Richard's Auto Alignment this afternoon. I had put on the DSS Adjustable Track Bar Retrofit kit and bar in the evenings this week, and had Gary @ Richards to replace all of the tie rods and then align it. Man, it is tighter and smoother!!!! The DSS Adjustable Track Bar is not a cheap fix, but far better than that darned old track bar with the swivel on the end. That original bar was loose, noisy, and made the truck follow the contours of the road on it's own! Now it won't drive like an old Jeep Wagoneer I used to drive!



Anyone leaving Roanoke/Salem area on Saturday morning? I may get on 81S at exit 150 between 6:30am and 7:00am. I hope to see some of you folks...

DHRA event @ Bristol Dragway, Saturday

Had a great time in Bristol this weekend at the Pro Diesel Shootout and the array of events going on at Bristol's Thunder Valley Dragway! Met a couple of good TDR guys before the event at O'Reilly Auto Parts, and one fellow aspiring to be a TDR member once he gets a truck... CTDMtnGoat and tshort, it was good to meet with you guys, and hope you made it back home safely! I wish more could folks have attended, but it looked like you guys were having fun at the event. It was a hot, but beautiful day, and there was lots to see and do! Phil, be sure to send these guys any info we can as they want to get involved with our Chapter of TDR. The other local chapters are just too far away...



I have lots of pictures of things going on at the track, and I will try to post a couple of them this evening when I get home from work.

I am definately going to be @ rural retreat along with CCox (TDR member) and quite a few others.



Is anyone going to try and pull? Rules are pretty straight forward, and the guys up there are great, they really liked the trucks!



Here is a map if anyone is interested in coming. The map isnt clear at the end-it says "Rural Retreat Lake Road", that is the name of the road to turn on before you get there.
