Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) temp gauge problem?

I rode shotgun in my truck the other day and noticed that the passenger seat was a lot cushier than the driver seat. I rotate my tires for better wear, why not rotate the seat bottoms too!

Has anyone done this? I've only had my seats out 5 or 6 time for various interior projects. The frames and seat backs are left and right, but the cushions look like they would be interchangable. Unless someone says I can't do it, I may just have to try.

Thanks,

Neil

FWIW, the MOPAR parts catalog shows different part numbers for passenger & driver seat cushions - all trim levels.

They are different. One side is vynil, the other side cloth, so if you switched them, the viynl would be on the wrong side.

Otherwise they will bolt up.

I swapped mine a couple months ago and they are a perfect match up. Course mine are leather and it makes no difference which side they are on. I am talking the seat pad only.

I have the cloth seats.

If you look at the driver's seat, the left side (if you were sitting on it) is cloth. The side that is against the center seat is vinyl.

They can be swapped, but I was just saying that you will see the vinyl instead of the cloth.

I thought about doing it to my truck, but I just put a piece of carpet and some foam instead. I'm 5'11 and I was tired of have to crane my neck to see over the hood because it was like being in a Mexican Lowrider :-laf

I noticed that, but it didn't really register. That's not so tacky. I've had my center console removed for about 6 months. Now that's tacky. My 12-yr old boy is in a hurry to get as tall as me, and was getting a bit cramped in the back seat. Now he can stretch his legs and I don't have to buy a Mega Cab :-laf

I'm going to swap 'em. Nothing to lose, put it back if I don't like.
