Hi. I have a 2015 Ram Ecodiesel Outdoorsman with towing mirrors I have to manually fold in all the time. I want to change to power folding ones like bighorn/ Laramie trucks have. I’ve found a set off 2018 2500 Ram Laramie truck and wonder if anyone has did this? I found a new door switch too for the one center folding button.
Any ideas? Thanks, Herb

There might be more involved than just the switch and mirrors. You'd probably have to go to the dealer and see if they can find the option in the ECM and PCM to turn on power to that function, adding wiring and fusing as well.

I tried to do the same thing on my 12 and the dealer told me it couldn't be done since i didn't originally have power fold mirrors. I ended up ordering from 1Aauto and changed the supplied switch with a push button and drilled out the center spot on my door switch and installed there. They've worked great except for the fact that when flipped up they vibrate so much its almost not worth flipping them up ever.

I just saw the mirrors upgrade kit and will go that way. I see they provide a switch. Any idea where it’s supposed to be installed? Can that be put in the original switch? I see I’ll have to wire a power cable to the fuse panel. I’m very familiar with them. I don’t need towing mirrors anymore. I have to fold them in every time I go in the garage. Thanks for the reply. Herb

1a auto suggest installing the switch in the little cubby by your left knee where the factory brake controller is. Some people have that some don't. You could install it by the switch but you will have to cut the harness it comes with and splice in more wiring to add it longer and then it will work. That's what I did. You also have to tap an ignition on power source (25a) if i remember right. I think i tapped my factory fuel pump fuse as I have a fass and its not connected or used anymore.

The hardest part of the whole install was making the cuts in the door panel and switch and feeding the wiring through the rubber tubing at the doors. I suggest long ass zip ties and electrical tape to help feed. or a metal coat hanger with rounded tips so you don't snag or poke anything with the sharp end. all in all took me 4hrs to fully install. 2hrs to decide where to mount.

I understand the two hours to decide! Are you happy with the quality of the whole package? I think it looks like the way to fold in my mirrors without the FCA programming crap to put original ones in.
They are only $423 with free shipping now. Did you get anything for your old mirrors? Thanks, Herb

I bought the 1aAutomotive replacement set and they arrived a few days ago. I took off the panel below the steering wheel trying to find a good switch spot. Not many. Do I have to take out the emergency brake assembly to be able to fish in the wires into the door from under the dash? Also did you just remove the rubber grommet from the body to fish the wires in? Thanks, Any advice is appreciated. The sales needs a video on the wire job for upgrade mirrors. Herb
