I read here where somebody swaped the seat bottoms from ds/ps.
I was cleaning the inside of the truck and figured "why not, its got 80K and the PS seat feels better then the DS"
So I removed the seat bottoms, only 4 bolts so it was easy to remove.
There is a difference between the DS and PS seats. In my 98, there is cloth on the outside and vinyl on the inside, but what the heck, I will switch them anyway.
So I have them switched and notice, the seat no longer comes all the way out to the out side plastic trim, there is about 3/4" between the trim and the seat.
I switch them back and yes, the outbound side of the seat sticks out further then the inside. This shape is sewn into the seat cover.
This is a 98. 5 SLT no leather.
