Does anyone know if a Trans. From a 2000 V10 2500 bolt up to my 98. 5 Cummings???Have a friend that will give me one with 40,000 miles on it , but I have to travel to get it and he can’t find the trans tag …. So if anyone know and can save me a wasted trip that would be great!!!

Don't quote me on this, but I think the V-10 and the Cummins had the same transmission. Now as far as year compatibility, you will need to determine if your transmission is the 47RH or 47RE. I don't know exactly the year that they changed over, but I know 2000 is a 47RE.

Look at the valve body with the pan off. Somewhere in the 2000/01 the switched gove solenoids and pressure xducers. These parts can just be changed out and it should be no prob, or you can change VB's and go.

Mahalo for the info guy's!!! So the bells will match up and it should bolt in... And just swap VB's..... How about the torque converts???Will the V10 match up with the Cummings specs??????

The V-10 and cummins did use the same transmission.

They are right, the valve body was changed in 2000, pressure sensor and

wiring on solenoids. Also the V-10 torque converter is a higher stall and

the hub is wrong to fit the crankshaft of the cummins.
