Wayne,

So is the winterguards going to work with that?

If you need to modify it, maybe come over and see if I can modify the pattern so it will fit. then I could offer this to whoever needs it.

as the hemi commercial says, sweeet! i think it looks so much better b/c the lines make the mouth look more proportional. Yet the aftermarket grills have too many lines and looks cluttered. Mopar grill is more refined. IMHO

mine is on the way i hope it gets here before my truck. how easy is it to install?

CATCRACKER,

This is a very easy mod! About twenty minutes. Just remove the entire grill from the hood, then push out the plastic "pop rivets" using the end of a small allen wrench that will fit into the end of the plastic rivet, and tapping with a small mallet or hammer.

New "pop rivets" come in the kit, and they are just tapped in with the mallet or small hammer. Just make sure when you get the grill removed from the hood you set the grill on a soft surface such as a heavy blanket to keep the grill from getting scratched.

ITS A PIECE OF CAKE!

If you don't mind, please share the Mopar part number and cost of the grill. My dealer said the entire grill had to be replaced ($1100, please), which I can't believe is true.

Jeremiah,

Part number for the Grill Kit is:82207849 . Retail cost is $99. 00. I paid $86. 00.

Good news All!!!

I make the Winter guards and now since Amsoilman did his switch to a sport model, he fitted the winter guards he has and he told me what is needed to fit to the 03 sport trucks.

I have to change the way it mounts but basicly, the holes are the same and I need to get 1" x 3" straps and longer screws but it will work for the sport model. Price might be higher but don't know. wouln't be much like $1 or 2 more... . maybe?

But if anybody has a sport model, E-mail me and let me know.

Hey, Eric, with temperatures in VA down in the teens, I'm game for one, and I did what Wayne just did a few weeks ago to my Laramie, so count me in for your "Sport" modified winter fronts.

BTW, the Mopar kit seems to be a bit different from the actual Sport grille, bigger bars maybe, I need to check one on the lot this week to be sure.

Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

This is exactly why I love this place! The dealer has been telling me for weeks I needed to buy the entire $480 grill. I talked them down to $400 but that's still alot of coin.

Mine will be here in 2 days. Oo. Oo.

Honeycomb should be the same, so it should work. The ST will go from work truck to show truck in a flash!

Gonna put the new sport model winter guards in the classifieds so it will take a couple of days to be able to see it.

E-mail me if interrested

Got them installed this weekend. Here's a few pics for those that want to see them on another color truck. :D Dealer tried to charge me $114 but I held them to the $86 original price.
