Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) swapping a V10 to a 24valve CTD

I have a buddy who has a 2000 2500 with a V10, the engine had ate its cookies and he is looking at installing a 24 valve cummins. I was wondering if any body has done this and what it would take to do. Any help would be appreciated

My friend has a V10 conversion truck. There is alot involved to switching over like front springs, dash, cruise control switches in steering wheel if he wants the cruise to work properly & by dash I mean complete harness & dash, odometer cluster, modules. The engine harness, brackets, crossmembers, PCM, ECM..... everything. If he wants a Cummins..... this guy builds them all the time switching wrecked v10 trucks into CTD trucks & he really has the answers. Jim Balsley 724-455-6100.
