Swapping mirrors

I am thinking about swapping the standard mirrors for the extended tow mirrors. Can I assume the mounting and electrical connections are the same for each version? TIA

I believe all of the powered tow mirrors are the same, three bolts with nuts and 1 electrical jack. But I think the non powered tow mirrors are different. I think you could have put the non powered tow mirorrs on a 2nd gen without modification. But to put powered tow mirrors on a 2nd gen would have required modification of the base. I know you have an '03, just using the 2nd gens as an example, because I don't know if the non powered tow mirorrs bolt right up to a 3rd gen.



I swapped the standard mirrors off for the powered tow mirrors on my '03. Was pretty simple, just take off the door handle, pop off the door panel, take the nuts off the three bolts, unplug the jack, pull mirror off. Assemble in reverse.
