Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Swapping trannies??

ok fellas... i am wondering if this is feasable???i have both a '98 1 ton and a '01 ton both with automatics... ... . but the '01 has a 89% tc, valve body, and clutches. i want to switch the trannies out. i am wondering if there is any electrical differences between the two and what other probs if any there might be???one is a 12 valve and the other is a 24 valve obviously. both are 4wd..... i have gotten quotes for $560 and $700... reasonable???



please leave these in both forums admin as some 24 valvers dont look in the 12 valve forum and vice versa... . thanx again!

from all the info I have seen this will not work.

I check the websites for ATS, SunCoast and DTT

Some of them list converters that will work. others do not. The one thing that the all list is that a complete trans for each of those different years. Some of them even have different parts for the 98 12 and 24 valves.
