alright guys I'm thinking, well more than thinking of going to an automatic. So whats it take?
Are the drivshafts different? Crossmember?
I know I need a flexplate. I'm also wondering if the t-case bolts up to an auto since I just put a rebuilt in yesterday.
Oh the brings up how bad I broke that, the cases were broke on both sides like it tried to pull the gears together with the chain, when Gary(willyslover) and I took it apart the drive fell out the front half. GRENADED
Anyway on the way home the transmission got stuck in 5th so by the time I got home the clutch was shot... . time for an auto.

I've done the swap both ways at Auto Wurks Diesel... . most people went from automatic to manual. The racer went from manual to auto.
The crossmember stays the same, you'll need a couple brackets and have to get a different transfer case if it's 4WD, Driveshafts have to be lengthened and shortened, and you'll need a new rear driveshaft yoke. For a shifter, you can go with the B&M or SCS Cheetah floor shifters and you're gonna have to wire in the neutral safety switch, but overall it's pretty straightforward.

Hey Adam,
Just a thought, if your sponsor just wants to talk the talk and wont come through with your automatic call me,ive been know to build a performance transmission or two in my time. There is one catch though , that decal has to come off the truck,
I think you know the one i mean, (lol)

I would be happy to just get a new truck.....
The automatic in my rig is a slush box that cant make up its mind on which gear to be in. . I would have a 6 speed, but I have a bad left hip (due to the accident I was in when this wonderful trucks brake pull caused one **** of an accident). Yes folks, I may own Chrysler soon as my lawyer tells me, but I think Ill donate it to the japs. I feel they are the only people who will be able to build a truck to house the Cummins motor and not rattle itself to pieces! #ad
