I may be getting too picky on this but while doing my oil change I noticed nicks and gouges on the front sway bar brackets. It looks as if someone ran into a rock several times. The right one is worse then the left one. I'm wondering if these happen during shipping. Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

Mine doesn't have any marks, but does it look like your marks came from the chains used to tie your truck down to the delivery rig?

Yeah, something like that. At least that's all I hope it is. The brackets are straight and they don't look like they've moved, they're just a little beat up.

You ever notice that Dodge is the only one of the big three who's 3/4 ton and larger trucks don't have tie down loops or hooks?Guess they figured that wraping chains around the axles is good enough, cheaper too. #ad

Yep, that's where it comes from. You're so right Bill, just like using fuel line not meant for Diesel after all these years on the return side. Cheaper to warranty it out and use garbage than get a real fix.
