I just noticed that my 06' 3500 didn't come with a rear sway bar  . Is Dodge not putting them on the rear or is it an option I missed? Do I even need to put one on the truck , being its a DRW?

I ran the Helwig and it made a nice change. IPD also offers a heavier bar and that's what I now run with my Kelderman Air-Ride. Both are very good options with the IPD being the stiffer of the two.

Sway are not needed due to the stiffer box frame and the longer wider springs. So I am told. My 05 DRW is better at controlling swaying then the 95 DRW, which had torsion bars.

I believe my '03 dually is a bit more stable without the sway bar than my '99 dually was with a sway bar pulling the same trailer. Thats not to say that some may prefer a sway bar.

As a matter of course, Dodge stopped putting them on in 2003. I don't miss mine. Of course, I went from a 3/4 Ton SRW to a 1 Ton DRW, so I may not be the best source of info...
