Just thought I would throw this out because i don't remember seeing this before. I am now running both the front and rear sway bars unhooked and find the rid to be much improved. Off road especially. I guess if you push corners really hard or haul a camper it will be too leany - but I have left them on so I can hook back up easy.

For the rear just remove the RH side link from the frame (LH side is tough because of fuel tank) and ziptied back to the swaybar. For the front I removed the RH side link as well. I find that it still corners pretty good but now is able to flex like it was meant to.

Anybody else tried this?

I removed the rear ant-sway bar when I got the truck. I wanted more articulation. Worked out just fine. :D

I tried the rear first as well - helped some.

The biggest change was the front though. No more tossing side to side in the cab when you hit a bump with one tire. Like I mentioned - just unhook one link - then easy to go back if you don't like it.

I replaced the front end link bushings not too long ago, swayed too much for me. There was a pair of diagonal bumps I hit every day on the way to work, the truck would drift over as I crossed them. New bushings, no problem.

You might want to do some testing in a parking lot or somewhere that you won't hit anybody, my gut reaction is that in an emergency avoidance maneuver things could get bad fast without the bar hooked up.

i removed both frt and rr. better articulation. no ill affects from removel of the front either empty or loaded. removal of the rear resulted in some sway with the cabover camper mounted. a quick disconect link for the rear would be nice. imo, the front bar isnt needed.

CA,

Not interested in selling the bar. I plan to put it back on if I ever sell the truck. It's tucked away in the corner of my barn.

MuddyMess - with the rear you can have almost a quick disconnect by just removing the bolt on the RH link that goes to the frame. Leave it connected to the sway bar - just fold back and ziptie to the swaybar. Then if you want to connect - just put the bolt back in.

I agree on the front - seems to roll just a little more but nothing really bad feeling even with fairly aggresive manuevers.

Extreme1 - I wonder if your '94 has different spring rates?

I want to buy someones unhooked rear sway bar assembly!

My truck does not have one and I need one.

I hear talk aboot a set of overloads for the 1 ton too? Anyone remove theirs that want to sell that too? Doo they rate the GVW differently with the overloads? Mine is 11K without.

Hey Ox, I thought I was the only proud owner of a Ram AND a Deere (332 Diesel) - two animals that go great together! Love that picture!
