SWB box topper on G2 vs G3?

Does anybody know if a box topper (canopy, fiberglass cover, etc. ) from a G2 will fit a G3 box?



I know that I have the tapered box but can't find out if the G2 had the tapered box.

They are similar but not exact. I have seen a 3rd gen tonno installed on a 2nd gen truck and the tonno frame was a little wider (I think) towards the cab.



I guess it depends on how picky you are about fit and finish.

Doesn't fit that great from what I'm told.

The cab on the 3rd gen is about 3 inches taller than a second gen... a cap will almost fit, but the height makes them look wierd.

I toted my Leer from my 99 around on my 04. 5 to get it to the buyer... the 3rd gen bed is also more "rounded" on the sides.
