Here's another option, I can't say how it compares to anything but stock airbox but it does work noticeably better (lower egts by approx 50 degrees). What I did was drill a 3" hole in the front of the airbox and a 3" hole in the body panel behind the headlight (between the headlight and the turn signal) it is pretty much a straight shot if you drill the holes in the right place, then I used a piece of my old 3" exhaust tube to connect the holes. I think you could go bigger but the next size holesaw I had was 4 1/2" and it was to big. I just used a little piece of angle iron poprivited to the tube and the air box to locate the tube on the back end and I filed the hole out in the metal so that the tube slid through with some tape wrapped around it to keep it from rattling. Now I get cooler air than by just swiss cheesing the box.
Just another option that really doesn't cost anything.
