2002 truck, Auto trans, heated seats-so the dash is full.

I have a keyed switch, 3/4"dia by 1 1/2" long.

I can't find anywhere in/below the dash to mount it. Anybody been thru this?

There was a recent article in TDR where a guy bought what's called a "project box" from Radio Shack and mounted it on the floor just under dash. Seemed to look OK from the pix.

Hey Richard- did you stop by Orvacs on the way home Saturday? I forgot about the project box conecpt, I did this with my 96- made it really nice when it came to "De-Modification" to sell it. In this way it could be easily removed without leaving any unsightly holes. Let me know when you get that tank... ... ... . I'm very interested.

Slo Ryde- Check out Ram Mount they have both suction mount and hard mount, all of which are easily removed. I have one in use (hard mount) with my Garmin.

RClark,

Not sure about the size of your switch or the keyed part, but this is where I put my switches. The switches run relays in a box under the hood. Running the wires was not as bad as I thought it might be.

Mine is a 97. There was also quite a bit of room on the side of the console up in the front section. I may add a switch for a high idle there.

Here's what I did with my 96 Ram. I'm currently working on my wire harness for the truck and some more switches, etc. I'm looking to get a circuit box for all my gadgets, but i don't want to pay $53 @ geno's garage. Radio shack only has in-line fuse holders. I guess I can goto a boat store and possibly find something there. if anyone wants, I can give a great more detail to my dash switches, wire harness, etc. my email is ct181156@gdn. edu

note: I'm installing a hadley 910CA airhorn soon with a selector switch for factory (whimpy) horns to the air (attention getter) horns. I figured this way I can change my profile while driving so I can get as much attention or as little as i want.
