OK, had enough. Hit bump, coffee spilled down onto stereo, started scanning all by itself, stopped on a sucky station and is stuck there. . Is the smoothie from geno's all thats out there? Its nice but I wanna look around first. Also anyone take out factory cup dumper and put in switch panel, if so any tips or pictures?

Imagine a 44oz jumbo cup full of cherry flavored Slush Puppy launching out of that dashboard catapult. That sucked!

I'm ordering a cup smootie. Rob H has one and it's really nice.

LOL Hummin. Kinda reminds me of the radio in my old van. Hit a bump and it works, hit the next bump and it quit, again.

The cup smoothie is one of the nicest cup holders, both factory and aftermarket, that I've used. Wife and I both use 20 oz travel cups and it is very secure.

My kids have an aftermarket pick-up console on the club cab bench seat. They couldn't reach the factory cup holder on the floor so I removed the center seat and revised the holder to use from the front.

That makes 8 cup holders and we have filled them all on road trips. The factory spiller is for last resorts and only for small cups or extra juice boxes. No travel cups or sport bottles allowed.

Good excuse to change out the factory radio for something good, too!

I've read of owners using the slot for gauges or switches. I'm still debating which.

PS

Mike, who's Rob H? That the guy with a Red Ram with training wheels where I saw the smoothie?

BTW, this is a jest!</font>

Dash Switches

I was able to put 7 lighted rocker switches and one push button in my '94 where you are talkin' about. Just cut a piece of sheet metal to fit the screw holes left when the cup holder was removed. Used a couple of shims (1/4 nuts to hold sheet metal out even with the bezel.

The switches I used are available from Pep Boys or auto zone. They are low amp, so you can use 20ga. wire and relays. I cut the holes with a Dremil tool.

I no longer have a pix, but there is one of the panel in the Summer '95 TDR in the work truck feature.

If you have any other questions, let me know.
