2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Switching 8 lug to 5 lug

Has anyone converted from 8 lug to 5 lug on a 94 2wd? I am making a street strip truck and I want to improve my wheel choices and sizes. Mainly because I am making it a short bed and throwing in a mini tub so I want to run wide rear tires and I can't find any decent rims. Any suggestions or advice? This is my first 12 valve.

One of the diesel magazines did this on a street/strip truck. It seems to me that they just replaced the hub assy.
