why can I not get the boost #'s I used to? only 31lbs?

why is my EGT look like im pulling a 7,000lb trailer when im not?

ANSWER... ... ... .....

It's the turbo!!!!!!the fins are hitting the compressor side and have started to fold over

upgrade time!!!

the local shop recomended the switzer 300 for 300+hp trucks I'm getting mine from mountaner diesel 304-766-6675 this charger is 4" out and should kill alot of EGT's I'll post results after install.

How much is the new turbo I believe the one your getting is the same as the BD super B single. I just ordered a BD from a dealer giving me a deal I believe its running me 1100 range.

$850+ tax and shipping put me at $910. 00 on my door step. I am waiting for the muffler shop to adapt my 5" down pipe to a 4". can't wait to get it on the big road to show the fords how slow they are! I got my collar and clamp from cummins parts handler they are not a dealer and they gouged me $110 for them but I was told they seal the best. good luck.

mine looks exactly like the one on the link but not the one on the price list download the turbine outlet will hit the waste gate if turned right. but this was not an issue after some experimenting can't wait for exaust!!!!!!

I would be curious how closely BD's small single is to the S300, in other words is it a plain S300 or a tweaked one. Reading BD's site would have you thinking it's a bit specialized and unique to BD, with the extended exhaust vanes and "unique" dual volute turbo housing (unique in what way though, aren't all turbine housings dual volute?) http://www.bd-power.com/ram/product.php?pn=Super Turbo Kit&tt=ram

BD's small S300 is the exact same turbo as the Schwitzer S300G PN#174430. The G series turbos all have the extended tip compressor wheel. They can be picked up for less than $700. All of the 62, 64, and 66mm hybrids start as an S300, they use the same principle as the HX35/40 hybrid process. All of the Schwitzer S300 exhaust housings have dual port wastegates straight from the factory.

SO I CAN UPGRADE MY B1? IT IS THE ONE FROM BD POWER AND I BELIEVE IT IS A 62MM COMPRESSOR WHEEL W/12? EXHAUST.

CAUSE AFTER I BOUGHT THE B1 I FOUND OUT ABOUT THE HTT AND II TURBOS AND WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HAVE THE UPGRADABILITY THAT THOSE UNITS HAVE!

:( the custom exaust shop would not atempt the alteration of 4" coupler and 45* elbow in place of the 3 1/4" stocker they were swamped with work and did not want to mess with it  so I called a good reputible shop 20min away and he said he would do it tomorow. the shop that backed out was a stones throw away from my apt, nothings ever easy.

frustration is; posesing the skill and knollage to do a task and not having the resorses to compleate it.

stress is; your resorse backing out of the task you could have compleated in the time it took to find them in the phone book.

BD wants you to believe everything of theirs is "unique" and better than anything else out there. I have been slimed before by the "wealth of knowlege" over at BD

Anybody know where to pickup one of these S300Gs for less than $700?

^I was about to ask the very same thing! If I could get one for $700 I sure would pick one up. Does it come with the 12cm housing? Does it also come with an HX40 downpipe flange or a marmon? I think all schwitzters come with a marmon unless specifically specified not right? Where can I get a marmon downpipe?

I got my stuff from mountaner diesel 304-766-6675 in WV. they have a down pipe 5" $180 ifyou cant adapt it your self get the down pipe. the couping from cummins was $60 so with any labor rate at all you can get theres and its stainless. turbo $914 on my door step custom fabed down pipe $248 and it hit the fire wall, the frame and the bell housing I got hosed but its on. mr. B's in ocen springs MS did the down pipe charged 3hrs I supplied parts three cuts two welds 3hrs? I could have done this in an hour. they have a custom diesel exaust sighn and every one I talked to said they would be able. they were better at taking my $ than any thing.

Yes we used to sell those turbos. We can still sell you that turbo. There are many at the Borg Warner factory. But we never had any customers that liked them and we didn't either. Thats when we developed our Phat Shaft turbos. If you think that a S300 is all the same then you may not know whats going on around the country. We have made BIG hp with our singles and there are others as well that make pretty good turbos also. You see the factory does not produce a turbo that will give you much more performance than 350hp. You may want to see how much you could have got with just a little more. Thanks

Brett,

if I were to get a s300g and later on want to upgrade, can you take the 300g and make a ps 62 or something outta it?? Or would I be stuck with the 300g?
