Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) T- case split

I need to split my transfer case because it leaks there in the middle where there is the rtv. I was wondering if gears will fall out when I split it or the best way to split it. Pictures would be real helpful.

I block it up on the bench with the input down and just lift the back half off, everything should stay in place.
