I've had the T-Rex/ Kore Bilsteins on my truck for 8 months now with no problems, until Wednesday. I noticed the bottom of my bilstein shock on the front axle had fallen off the shock and was laying on the axle. It looks like a washer, but there's also a rubber gromet on it too. Anyone else have this problem? I rotated the tires on Tuesday and it was fine, but Wednesday I drove down highway 99 for 35 miles and when I got out I was showing off my shocks and noticed the ring. My Dad wasn't impressed, and neither was I.

CFast,

I was thinking what part of your shock broke and I am sure it is the Swiper. It is an outer dust seal that can be put back in very easily. Just take some contact cleaner, spray out the inside of the bottem of the shock. Then put red locktite on the swiper disc and tap it in with a ball peen hammer. Wont take 5 minutes. If not send it back to KORE for a simple repair. If you sent it out tomorrow it would be there wednesday, and back on thursday.

It doesn't look complicated to put back in, just doing it in place with the spring in the way. I have today off so I'll just pull the whole thing today and fix it myself first. Thanks for the advice.

I am sure you can do it with the shock on the truck. Just tap it in after cleaning and application of Locktite. It doesn't take much to get it back in there.
