SE TDR Mud Bog (May 7 - 9, 2004)

T-Shirt orders are getting closer. Here are some variations of the proposed logo. Not looking like I am going to get permission to use the Cummins C, nor the TDR logo. :( SO, I was talking to Gap this morning, and we discussed having a large logo on the back, and a small version of it on the front??

I have a feeling that we're looking in the neighboorhood of $7/shirt. I should be able to get different styles (pocket, no pocket, long sleeve, short sleeve, sweatshirt, etc... ) depending on exactly what you want. I'll even get you boxer shorts with Red's face and the popular "Who's your DADDY" slogan if you want. :D

The way I'm going to do this is to post a poll. After everyone has voted, we'll revisit and make a decision.

just make sure when you order that you order some in 3X [XXXL] for us regular sized guys who support all the clubs around the nation. .

I voted on the bottom one... 'cause it needs more pazzzzazz. . not trying to bad talk ya just have seen some very nice ones. . look at SoCal's and see what I'm meaning.

Will do friend. I did actually talk to the guy who did the SoCal shirts before I started this. I agree, they are awesome logos. He is a graphic designer (or instructor) or something, and has access to designers and tools. We're doing this on a budget (basically nothing but our feeble minds). My logos are just a starting place to stimulate ideas from the group and all others.

At any rate, we'ed be most excited for you to have one when their done!

Take care,

Andy

maybe ask for some free help on the board. . bet you would get a few ideas to help ya out. . however I'm not one of the art guys :(

look at Scott Vorhees aka bigbaddodge in the member pic's section. . another good drawing IMHO

I look up a email addy for another diesel gearhead / pretty good graphic guy and pass it on to ya he is also a member here.

send Jake Scharosch here -- email address removed --

when ya e-mail him tell him Big Gary said that maybe he would come up with some help for ya... I'll forward a link for this thread to him also.

We are just worried about the price of the shirts. Didn't want to complex of a design and multiple colors as that jacks the price up. Try'n to keep them cost effective so we all can have multiple shirts and maybe make a little extra to sponsor some of our club outings.

I vote for whatever the majority wants. Only opinion I really have is I like white T-shirts that are a heavy cotton. Don't dislike other colors (but black), just prefer white as they are cooler for a hot natured fat boy!

Thanks, I'll give that a shot. I posted in the "Other" forum for some assistance, but never got a reply, so I just kinda gave up on that. :(

I'll give him a holla and see how that goes.

Andy,

This is what I had in mind for a logo. Please remember that the graphics are rough and quickly done using MS PowerPoint.

Jay

I like that Jay. Particularly the smoke from the letters. I was having a problem getting the smoke to come from somewhere. The only real problem I see with that is the Cummins logo. Although we have the logo in vector format, we also have a document that came with it. It's about 9 pages of guidelines. :( They will have to approve our usage of the graphic before it can go to screenprinting. For that reason, I say we just leave the logo on the front of the shirt, all by it's lonesome.
