Which would you rather be stabbed with, a table knife or a steak knife? To clarify. . I mean being stabbed so either knife causes a punchure wound. Why do you think it would be better with your choice?

Doc

Seems like a steak knife would be better since it's sharper and will cut it's way in. A table knife would tear it's way in. Both are better than a wooden stake though.

Just wondering. If both go through the skin. Would it make any difference?

I would have asked would you rather get cut with a chainsaw or a meat slicer? Then again this thread sounds like its for the horror movie bunch. :--)

A sharp steak knife. Reason being is that the steak knike will leave a cleaner cutting wound and would therefore be easier to sew up. The dull table knife would do a lot of ripping and tearing on the way in, leaving a more jagged wound. Jagged wounds are harder to sew up, and the chances of the vascular tissue being torn could mean you would bleed out faster.

Oh well, too much time on my hands to think of these things. Maybe I should just go to sleep. Oh BTW, Doc, do you ever wake up at night in cold sweats, gasping for a breath??? You might be the only person I know more warped than myself.

Doc, I think it only fair I worn you... ... Before you reach for that Knife, I am Packin' and I wouldn't want to be the guy that brings a knife to a Gun Fight...

I wouldn't know. I use a KaBar bowie knife to cut my steak with. I've been thrown out of as many steakhouses as Doc has. :D Something to do with the waitresses being scared of me. Really hurts my feelings.

I'd have to guess you do a lot more driving than flying nowadays. Good thing you own a cummins.

Make mine a steak knife, mostly for aesthetic reasons.

It's not only the stabbing - it's what is done next with the knife that makes the steak knife more dangerous. But - what a thought... . This is a good subject for "Soldier of Fortune"
