Received a flyer in the mail today from BBA Reman in Taunton, Mass.

They rebuild instrument clusters, ABS modules, OEM Navigation Radios, etc.

I called them just now to see if they will rebuild the clusters in our 3rd gen trucks due to tach or complete cluster failure and guess what??

They do!!!!!Oo.

Asked for approximate cost, she told me diagnostic was $35. 00, repair was $230. 00 and the diagnostic fee is included in the latter figure.

Sounded like a viable alternative to a new cluster in my opinion.

Lifetime Warranty on the repair as well.

Website is BBA reman. ABS, ecu's, throttle bodies, air mass meters, and catalytic converters

Link to Ram Cluster Ram4. 7Dash

This shows a 2002 cluster but I asked specifically about an '06 and she said they can fix them.

Have a look, see what you think... :)

PS Asked if they could rebuild a TIPM module, no they don't. Thought it was worth asking at least.

Mike. :)

Mike,

That's good info. I think I've seen several member complaints of failed tachs on later Gen III trucks and occasional complaints of other failures.

Someone here posted a while back that they found their 06 tach simply had a bad solder joint. Those that have experience soldering might just re-flow all the joints.
