Does anyone know why Dodge uses 125 rpm increments on our tachometers? Sure makes 'em hard to read. Are they try'n to save paint or what? 100 rpm increments are pretty much the norm, why change? Anybody know?

Having worked for a company that let the marketing people manage the aesthetics of a product and leave the nuts and bolts to the engineers, it is not surprising. I will bet that some high level marketeer thought that using 100 RPM graduations looked too busy. The idea of making the tach readable without using a calculator probably never occurred to him.

I apologize in advance to anyone who works in a marketing position.

Now that makes sence to me. I worked for a company who's marketing dept completely screwed up everything. I heard most of the thing they did from customers before I heard 'em from the company.
