Tachometer falling off.

The indicated RPM droped from 750 toabout 400 wihile I watched it. Ten minutes later it droped to 300. This morning it was at 100. The engine is still Ideling the same as always. Any ideaes

yes many 06 have had tac problems.
If in warranty go to dealer. if not prepare for around $600 to fix it. there are about 2 different threads on this topic, and i lucky had it fixed in warranty.

I believe some one sent it off to be fixed cheaper... search the threads

it is almost exclusively 06 trucks.

I think when I called a few years back it was in the neighborhood of 350. 00 to repair the Ram Diesel Cluster which included shipping.

If you know someone who is a really good solderer, they can reflow all the joints on the back of the cluster and solve the problem, which is cold solder joints.

Dodge should have to replace these for free...
