I'm new to the registry but I really appreciate all the useful postings. Purchased my 2001. 5 4x4 QC on 8/29. What a machine! I was just wondering why DC divided the the tach markings into 125 rpm increments instead of 100 rpm. Any ideas? I just hope my wallet can stand this forum and truck. Thanks.

Welcome. DC wanted to save money by not putting in an extra dash mark. If it's any consolation my '95s have a different number of dashes between each number. I've never tried to do the math.

I have to admit that this is the dumbest thing that I have noticed on my truck so far! At least we have a tach (my buddy with a W250 5 spd isn't so lucky.
