Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Tag and Volant Box

Been thinking about replacing my air box with a Volant system. I have a Tag and would like to use it with the new system. Will the Tag fit in the duct to the turbo? Thanks

Well It Could work you would have to use the OEM intake tube which may not work with the volant (I dunno if it would as I never tried it with mine) The TAG uses a grove to seat itself in the intake connection hose istelf I believe however I am not sure. At least that's what I can get out of it in reading. Maybee a Tag user could chime in here. as for the Volant ... Nice unit , clean and gives the option of cowl induction as well.

I'm Sorry TMTT, I thought I was pretty clear on that one. No it does not work. I have tried to install one just for fun. It will not fit in the intake tube or the rubber boost fittings. Plus the tag does not improve performance. Been tested and came up as 0 gain in HP. Waste your money on something better. Dinner and a movie will net you more SOP feel.

Hey, Greg. My TAG came up with a 10% improvement in milage. Power increases are not at the top end but at partial throttle on the low end. It's not so easy to see on a dyno.

Oh no biggie Greg, I was trying to therorize a lil bit. I am not sold on the Tag mainly due to my own stubborness to put an object IN FRONT of the turbo LOL!
