Okay one other thing i have to find and replace before the inspection will pass is the rear tag lights, there is no covers on them, the bulb and part it goes into are there but no covers, i have tag lights but no covers, any place that may have those so i can order them, checked with dodge today $37. 00 each  . . anyone have 2 of these laying around by chance?

I checked at walmart over in W. Jefferson NC. they don't have much of anything, the super center at galax may have them if any walmart does, they have an extensive inventory... I called Autozone, they guy say they have the eyeball looking cover its a universal, he said he was sure they fit the older dodge trucks. . Said the truck would be in tonight and for me to call them tomorrow.

You should be able to get the whole light for little to not much at any parts store. They are a generic tag light. Just lay under the truck, disconnect/cut the wire, drive the old light out with a hammer and punch. Clean up the mounting surface to get a good ground, install and hook up the new light. I would think you should get them much cheaper then $37.

Yeah the $37 each is way to much, actually all im needing is the eyeball cover, the one that covers the tag light itself, Autozone said they should have more in tonight with the truck, they were out so it automatically orders more...

lense update

the tag light lense units from autozone won't fit the dodge, they are to big, they fit chevy bumpers perfectly and i ain't having that on my dodge...

Well i finally got ahold of my friends uncle last night, went and picked up both lenses off his truck and now the silver beast has a inspection sticker, in Va. if both lights are in they have to be both working and have both lense covers, if there is only one in the bumper then it has to be working and have the lense and it will pass inspection that way... Im glad both lenses were on his truck...

The lens is available separately from the entire lamp, Mopar part number 4357065. I just put one on mine last night. $6. 45 each at your friendly dealer.

Mbergman i have 2 on order but they won't be here until the 19th, the thing was where i had the rejection sticker i had only 15 days to get everything fixed or have to have another inspecton done and pay another $15. 00, im going to get those lenses from the dealer anyways and put them up, and if someone here ever needs them if i haven't used them then another member won't have to go and order any.
