I have a 2001 dodge 2500 4x4 with 6 speed manual with about 108000 miles on it. about a week ago the driverside rear left blinker light stopped working. I went and bought another light nothing. took the housing out looked at wires for cuts and corrosion nothing. stuck housing back in and it worked fine:). a couple of day later stopped working. Now the blinker would not work but the tail light does and the brake light works too. took housing out looked at it put it back and it worked for about 2 turns stopped again. #@$%! Guessing it may be a ground issue but not sure. Has anyone had this problem or give me some avenues to check out.

Love the site , learned alot here.

thanks in advance

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

On my '98 a little metal tab inside the socket cracked and eventually broke causing an intermittent propblem like yours. Looked fine until the tab fell out. I cut a longer tab that reached deeper into the socket. Not the best solution but cheaper than a new wire harness.

The dodges are famous foreground issues... I have posted issues with turn signal grounds that would start wipers when signalling a turn!!! Check all the grounds carefully!!!
