Tail pipe diamameter

I bought this truck used and was considering replacing the exhaust system with the 4 inch. I measured the Diameter of the existinf tailpipe at the end and it measured a full 4 inches.

So my question is does it already have the 4in exhaust? There is no additional piece added to the end of it.

Only the end is 4 inch on stock exhaust. Rest of it is 3 inch.

I believe, if it is a stock exhaust, that the tailpipe get larger at the last 18" or so of the truck, if you get under the truck you will see what im talking about. At least thats the way it was on a 01 I saw without a pickup box
