Got truck back from dealer yesterday with a re-flash and nothing else. Dealer did say that I better hope the DPF isnt broken because its a non warranty item, it wear and tear. Trucks got 10,000miles on it. Looks like stacks are gonna go on sooner than expected if all the emmisions crap isnt under waranty.

They are full of it... mine has already been replaced under warrenty

Well, got a call from DC today, not the dealer about the truck. It is in fact the DPF that needs replacement, but we need to provide them with every oil change reciept, oil filter reciept, and fuel fill-up reciept. #@$%! Since I dont have every reciept for fuel in the last 10,xxx miles its gonna cost $6,000+ to replace the filter. The only mods that the truck has are a rhino liner and tonneu cover. So now, not sure what route to take, I did get a minivan loaner that smells like puke because of the buisness link though:mad: Who should I contact next???

Receipts... since I have bought all of my oil filters from Geno's now for the past 9 years I could cover that part. All of my diesel is through the CFN so I can get receipts for that as well but the Delo 400 oil wouldn't be so easy.

Wonderful Dodge customer service. This is how the new owners of Chrysler are planning to keep share holders equity up, by dening warranty claims.

Tell them to stick it and sell the truck. You'll take it "in the shorts" on the sale of the truck, but not as much as paying $6K for a filter!!!

Go find a 2005/2006 Cummins or a Chevy D/A with out the emissions stuff.

is the truck performing well? getting good fuel economy?

if so, F the dealer and run it smoking. . if you get nailed for epa violations, send the bill to daimler RE: failing to honor warranty

Got it replaced yesterday under warranty. I guess someone at DC had a better day cause it only took a 2 minuite conversation over the phone, 4 hrs. later the dealer called me and said truck has a new DPF and is ready for pick-up. Trucks running great again.

That's good news MRosinski, :)

Your experience could help others in the future. Can you please elaborate a bit?

Now we have a sudden magic resolution of what seemed to be a ridiculously restrictive warranty service issue, ... where before, your posts reported hesitance and demands.

Just who was the person/department/ phone number, etc. , that was satisfied with the 2 minutes of conversation?

What happened to the demand for all fuel receipts, etc. ? Does anyone's pump-sales receipts indicate what type (ULSD) of diesel was purchased?

Thanks,

Called 800-992-1997(dc warranty) Said I have a reciept for fuel, thats it. Asked for a fax #, faxed copy of reciept that only specified #2 diesel. Said thanks, and then few hours later its done. BUT, my CEL came back on this morning#@$%! Back to the dealer... .....
