Tail Thoroughly Kicked by Super Cold/Flu

Well boys, I am about knee-high to a sick rat right now, caught a bad cold the other day and it has just about done me in. I have not been this sick in a long time. Seems to be going around here in this part of Texas, people I know who haven't missed a day of work in years have been laid up in bed for 2-3 days with this miserable crap.



I was running a pretty good fever last night, went to bed and it finally broke about 3:00 this morning. Woke up shivering and my pillow and blanket were soaked, thought I had either had that Nicole Kidman dream again or had knocked my water glass over - nope, was completely (!) soaked with sweat and was now freezing half to death. What a PITA



Hope the rest of you folks don't come down with this stuff

I'm getting over my chest cold, finally. I got it about 3 weeks ago. Took Guafenisin to break the crap up and Nyquil or Robitussin. I only had a head ache about 2 days, just a tough cough with a bunch of phlegm! Never ran a fever but still nasty.

Bummer Mike.

Just wondering if you had gotten a flu shot or not? With the shortage and all the idiots standing in line for hours, I did not. I had been doing good until about a week ago when I laid on the ground for a couple of hours fixing my crapped out manure spreader. I figured I would go down for the count but other than some congestion, it has not progressed.



Keep some spare PJ's or T-shirts and towels handy for night when you wake up soaked and shivering. It may sound funny but a putting a pair of socks on will warm you up faster once you get back in bed too. Only thing worse than waking up like that is waking up like that two or three times in the same night.

I didn't get a flu shot, I have always figured that anything that didn't kill me would make me stronger. May have to reconsider that angle after this one.



I am feeling a bit better today, I am still in a daze but better than I was over the weekend.

I had the almost the same symptoms: uncontrollable shivering, sweating, fever 102*, EVERY joint in my body ached. My body ached so much I could hardly get out of bed. {took 3 tries first morning}

Symptoms gradually subsided over 3-5 days. But I am still not up to 100% and it has been 8 days.



And to top it all off I missed Norcal Dyno Days!!! :{
